Orbicast
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026
Orbicast turns any place on the map into a cinematic 3D drone flyover. We
built Orbicast to be private by default: we do not require an
account, we do not ask for your name or email, and we do not sell your
data or use third-party advertising or tracking.
In short: No login. No personal profile. No ads. No data
sold. The only identifier we use is a random, anonymous device ID so your
renders stay tied to your device.
1. Information we process
- Anonymous device identifier. When you first open the
app, we generate a random ID (a UUID) stored securely on your device's
Keychain. It is not linked to your identity, Apple ID, name, or email. It
lets us keep "My Renders" tied to your device and prevent free-tier abuse.
- Map coordinates you render. When you create a flyover,
the latitude/longitude of the spot you chose is sent to our servers to
generate and store the video. We do not continuously track your location.
- Your location (optional). If you grant location access,
it is used only to center the map on your current area. You can deny this
and use the app normally.
- Rendered videos. Videos you create are stored on your
device and backed up to our cloud storage (so they survive reinstalling
the app), tied only to your anonymous device ID.
- Purchase information. Subscriptions are handled by
Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive your
subscription status (active / not active), never your payment-card data.
2. What we do NOT collect
- No name, email, phone number, or account.
- No advertising identifiers and no third-party ad/tracking SDKs.
- No contacts, photos (except a video you explicitly choose to save to
your Photo Library), microphone, or browsing history.
3. Third-party services
To provide core features, Orbicast relies on these providers, which process
data only as needed to deliver the service:
- Google Maps Platform — map display and Photorealistic
3D Tiles for the studio and flight simulator.
- Google Cloud — hosting, video storage, and the render
backend.
- RevenueCat & Apple — processing and validating
subscription purchases.
4. Data retention & deletion
Your renders are kept so you can access them across devices and reinstalls.
You can delete any render at any time from the "My Renders" tab, which
removes both the local copy and the cloud copy. Because your data is tied
only to an anonymous device ID, deleting the app and clearing this ID
effectively disassociates remaining cloud data from you.
5. Children
Orbicast is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from them.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be
reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
